Is Shallots Bistro kosher?

Yes. Shallots is 100% kosher under the supervision of the Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc). Our kitchen has operated under cRc supervision since we opened in 2004.

Are you open on Shabbat?

No. We are closed every Friday and Saturday for Shabbat. We reopen Sunday afternoon at 4 PM.

What are your hours?

Monday through Thursday, 12 PM to 9 PM. Sunday, 4 PM to 9 PM. Closed Friday and Saturday.

Do your hours change for Jewish holidays?

Yes. Hours shift around Yom Tov, Chol HaMoed and fast days — we may open late, close early, or close entirely. Any changes are posted on our hours page. When in doubt around a holiday, please call ahead.

Do you take reservations?

Yes. The quickest way is to book a table online. You're also welcome to call us.

Can I order for pickup or delivery?

Yes. Order online for both pickup and delivery. Delivery availability is confirmed at checkout based on your address.

Do you cater?

Yes — off-site kosher catering across Chicagoland, from Shabbat and Yom Tov meals to weddings and corporate events, delivered and staffed or dropped off ready to serve. See catering to request a quote.

Can I host a private event at the restaurant?

Yes. We host Sheva Brachos, bar and bat mitzvahs, birthdays and business dinners in private and semi-private spaces, with pre-fixe menus built around your party. See private events.
